Job Summary

SABAH.city is looking for Head of Technology Transfer Department who will ead and implement technology transfer strategy by building partnerships with universities, research institutions, government, and industry;
securing funding and developing commercialization and IP management frameworks;
establishing internal procedures and unified approaches;
delivering training and awareness programs;
overseeing departmental operations and performance;
and representing the organization at local and international platforms.

Requirements

PhD degree in technical or natural sciences (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Materials Science, Computer Science, etc.);
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management;
Strong business knowledge and analytical thinking skills (through personal business experience, entrepreneurship, etc.);
Strong organizational and management skills;
Effective communication, partner management, negotiation, and team leadership skills;
High sense of responsibility, strategic thinking, and initiative;
Personal experience with patent processes (as a patent author or having undergone the patent application process) (desirable);
Scientific publications in journals indexed in “Scopus” or “Web of Science” platforms (desirable);
Experience in participating in research- or innovation-oriented projects;
Excellent command of Azerbaijani and high-level English proficiency (knowledge of Russian is an advantage);
Practical knowledge in technology transfer, innovation management, or commercialization;
Familiarity with the startup ecosystem, product development, and innovation initiatives.
