Job Summary

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will define the overarching testing strategy and drive "shift-left" initiatives to ensure quality is integrated from the design phase through to deployment. You will lead the team in executing manual, exploratory, and risk-based testing across web, mobile, and API layers, while simultaneously building automated test suites and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

Fluency in Azerbaijan and English;
Strong experience with **API testing*(Postman, Swagger) Experience in UI testing for web and mobile applications Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools Ability to switch between projects quickly without losing attention to detail Strong communication skills to prevent miscommunication across multiple stakeholders Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC Experience with defect root cause analysis and issue prevention strategies Risk-based testing mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines Comfortable in Agile environments with frequent scope changes Experience with at least one test automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium for mobile) Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Ability to write basic scripts for test data setup or automation support (Python, JS, etc.) Experience with performance or load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust) Knowledge of security testing basics (OWASP Top 10 awareness, input validation, auth testing) Experience with database/SQL querying for backend verification Ability to evaluate and introduce new QA tools and processes to the team Experience working with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria
